Corporación Sumemos Por Un Casanare Sostenible

La Corporación Sumemos (Sumemos) is a nonprofit organization based in Casanare, Colombia, dedicated to advancing sustainable development, social inclusion, and gender equality in marginalized communities. Through education, training, and public policy advocacy, the organization empowers women and promotes economic and territorial development across the region.

With the support of our Giving Joy grant, Sumemos will launch a Women Tractor Drivers Course to help close the technological and gender gap in agriculture. This initiative will train 15 women in tractor operation through hands-on instruction and internships, enhancing their employability and supporting their families' livelihoods. By equipping participants with practical skills and connecting them to long-term job opportunities, the program aims to improve the quality of life for around 50 people across 15 households. Beyond economic empowerment, Sumemos hopes these women will inspire others to pursue similar paths, fostering greater inclusion and gender equity in traditionally male-dominated sectors like agriculture.
