The Ugandan Centre for Women and Youth Empowerment (CEWAYE) used our Giving Joy grant to implement the "Fight Dementia" project, a groundbreaking initiative raising awareness about dementia in the Nakivale refugee settlement, Isingiro district, southwestern Uganda. This project fills a critical gap by focusing on one of the most vulnerable groups—elderly refugee women—and is the only dementia-focused initiative in Uganda for this population.
Fondation Luc Eucariste (FLE) and Coordination des Femme de Bainet (COFAB) is a grassroots organization that aims to strengthen education, agriculture and health services in Bainet, Haiti. They used the Giving Joy grant to purchase parts, employ labor, and repair the community mill that broke a couple of years ago, ensuring the renewed production of flour for the COFAB community.
GoLocal is a Liberian social impact agro-venture that amplifies the participation of women and youth in economic activities. The Giving Joy grant significantly contributed to the socio-economic empowerment of 55 women and girls, enabling them to initiate, launch, and successfully manage new and existing businesses in Monrovia.
How can podcasts and videos create positive change in the lives of women? Fundación Kaleidos, an Argentine NGO, exemplifies this through their innovative work with adolescents. Fundación Kaleidos raises awareness and advocates for adolescent and teen pregnancy, maternity, and paternity.
Safer-I Nepal is a feminist-led campaign dedicated to creating a safer, inclusive, and accessible digital space for everyone. One of Safer-I programs is Tech for Moms—a multi-day digital literacy workshop for adult women and mothers.

The podcast equips and elevates the next wave of diverse women business leaders, ensuring they are well-prepared to attract investments and achieve their professional aspirations.
The idea behind GivingTuesday revolves around the power of radical generosity and building a society where giving is a central value in each of our lives. While some might perceive this as an ambitious vision, my involvement with Giving Joy has demonstrated that radical generosity is not just a lofty ideal—it's a tangible force that's gaining momentum!
Our focus must remain on what we can control and the impact we can make, even in the face of adversity. We will continue our charge to support women entrepreneurs worldwide, as they play a pivotal role in shaping the global economy—in war and in peace
Women's Equality Day, August 26th, commemorates the struggles of women to be heard, as fierce advocates who gained the statutory right to vote. Being heard is still a struggle by women globally but a Kurdish community radio station, Radio Dangi NWE and its Media Director, Rangeen Salem Mahmood, is trying to shed light and amplify women’s voices in Kurdistan and Iraq.
The Hard of Hearing Association of Tanzania (HOHATz), led by the inspiring Laura Pettie Kissakwa is at the forefront of promoting inclusivity for hard of hearing (HoH) individuals in Tanzania. In July 2023, HOHATz organized workshops for 20 HoH women, supported by the Giving Joy grant, to equip them with essential entrepreneurial skills, utilizing social media platforms effectively, and coping with mental health issues while navigating the business world as a HoH individual.
