UMMARA TARIQ & FACE

Ummara Tariq, is a woman influencer and trainer with Food Security & Agriculture Center of Excellence (FACE), an initiative to eradicate hunger in Pakistan. Ummara used the Giving Joy grant to lead a three-week training for 10 women in Rahim Yar Khan (rural area in Pakistan) to transform basic raw milk into value-add products like butter, yogurt, and cheese. On average, each woman is estimated to earn $54 per month (in comparison to $15 per month through raw milk). Ummara also plans to use the grant to create the Women Dairies Rahim Yar Khan startup, where all 10 trainees + herself will be joint owners.
