Adina Barakzai - Training Future Tailors

In 2014 Adina established Bright Future for Afghans Needful Organization (BFANO) to help vulnerable Afghans improve their lives and develop their capacities. With the Giving Joy grant, Adina organized a tailoring class for 15 women in Kabul, Afghanistan. Demand for the class was overwhelming, in part due to the dire economic situation in Afghanistan. Adina limited attendance to the most vulnerable women and girls who had no other means of income. Participants can now get jobs in tailoring to alleviate some of their financial problems.
