Mariam Dawlati is the owner of Almas Kabir Handicraft Company. Since 2016 she and her 200 weavers have been making carpets in a variety of designs and sizes. in 2022 Mariam won the Bibi Khadiga award for Afghan women entrepreneurs. Giving Joy contributed to the award and the prize money will finance a weaving center that will employ 10 additional women weavers. .
