Rahimeh Hajizadeh – Jewelry Maker

Rahimeh is a goldsmith and established jewelry maker. She trains women to make jewelry, using silver and semi-precious stones.  Rahimeh also founded Khorshid Taban Zanan Handicrafts in Kabul, where she sells some of her creations, alongside traditional artisanal goods to customers in Afghanistan, Germany, India and Pakistan. As a widow with 7 children she is the only breadwinner. She used the Giving Joy grant to purchase raw materials to continue supply of jewelry to her overseas customers and support her family.
