Fueling Women's Entrepreneurial Dreams in Liberia

GoLocal is a remarkable Liberian social impact agro-venture. They are leveraging the Giving Joy grant to empower women and youth in economic activities. With a focus on speed mentoring, pitch competitions, and entrepreneurial fairs, GoLocal aims to establish 50 new businesses, each employing at least 3 women. The first training phase benefited 20 women, one of which is Famata, CEO of Mata Cake and Pastry (in the photo above). The second cohort will take place in Spring 2024 and include alumni networking, mentorship, and an entrepreneurial expo. Check out that cake!

GoLocal also launched a book, "Scaling and Sustaining Your Startup Business," in February 2024, with proceeds funding the DKS Startup Revolving Fund.
