Taiba Husaini - Researcher

Taieba is an economist. She foundered Scholars House that provides English learning opportunities for girls and women. She also founded Joostar R&D where she conducts research on women small- and medium- enterprise owners. Covid-19 temporarily closed the doors of The Scholars House. But the Taliban killed hope, especially for women, and students dropped out in mass, closing the doors for good. The Giving Joy grant helped Taiba get back on her feet. She was able to finalize her survey about the impact of Covid-19 and the Taliban on businesswomen in Afghanistan and was grant accepted to a virtual business course at the Institute of Economic Empowerment of Women.
